Why this new position?
Our Industry Segment within selected sectors and pump applications must grow significantly the coming years. This business area has thus put application competence and knowledge high on the agenda. To take our ambitions forward globally and to succeed with our differentiation strategy, we need an Application Manager.

A global challenge – technically as well as in terms of business strategy and competence building
You will join a small, but dedicated team in the Grundfos Industrial business development organisation. Your main responsibility will be supporting our sales organisation and R/D as well as setting the scene globally in terms strategy, competence building, communication & portfolio development as well as analysing new opportunities. Other key tasks include:

• Support to R&D with market input, application knowledge and technical specifications
• Developing our technical market communication and assisting our marketing department in developing our communication platform
• Support in regards to exhibitions, events and seminars

Because you will be securing competences, by both training the sales organisation as well as supporting sales and customers within application know-how and trouble shooting, you will have a wide international contact surface on a daily basis. You will also be in contact with major customers in close cooperation with local sales companies. This takes you travelling 15-25 days per year.

A technical background and good communication skills
You have a relevant technical background – e.g. as engineer or marine engineer – and preferably practical experience from the industry. Fluent English is a prerequisite in this position. As a person, you have strong skills within communication in verbal as well as in writing. You always keep the overview, and you are persistent and able to sell an idea to your colleagues. Further, you can sell complicated technical solutions to professional industrial customers, and you are not afraid to make (sometimes quick) decisions.
